Reunion Sunday Review:

On Sunday, July 12, bus loads of Alumni and Friends’ arrived from New York, Washington DC, St Katherine Sienna of Germantown and St. Bartholomew of Camden. Others arrived by car or had flown in for the Weekend Event.  Friendly volunteers greeted them with goodie bags at the Registration Desks set-up in the Mission Center. Approximately 300 Alumni and Friends were in attendance.

A beautiful warm sunny day began with the usual Coffee and Donuts served by volunteers in the Auditorium of St Catherine’s Hall. There alumni chatted and exchanged friendly news while reminiscing old times. From there they went out on the grounds to claim a table for their friends and families. The many events of the day included the infamous Lolly-Pop Tree, Face Painting, and Barbecue. New additions were the Archive Open House and the Sing Fest with singers performing a mini-concert for the Sisters of St. Michael Hall. A Sing Fest also was held on the steps of the Mission Center.  Many visited the St. Katherine Drexel Shrine and Gift Shop with its special Alumni Day discount. The highlight of the day was the Mass celebrated with Father James E. Goode, OFM.  Then the raffle drawing took place prior to departure of the Alumni.

A successful Reunion Weekend culminated in exceeding the fund raising goal for Gerri Chairs in St. Michael’s Hall.
