Built in loving memory of Elizabeth Drexel Smith, sister of
Saint Katharine Drexel, the chapel is the centerpiece of life
for the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament - a place where
they share their most intimate moments with the Lord.

Over a century old, the chapel was renovated in 1988. The
renovations secured the Chapel's foundation, cleaned the
interior, and emphasized artwork of Black and Native Americans.
In addition, the Sisters erected a photomural of Saint Katharine
Drexel that remains in the Chapel today.

The Chapel stands as a symbol of love and sacrifice that Saint
Katharine Drexel and the Sisters made over the years. Many
pilgrims come to the Chapel each year to be transformed by
Jesus in the Eucharist.
