The Mission Center Gift Shop is located in the Saint Katharine Drexel Mission Center and National Shrine, which is on the grounds of St. Elizabeth Convent, the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. We are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed
on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

RWANDA WOODCARVERS
Rwanda, a small country in Central Africa is mainly mountainous with rich tropical forests. The woodcarvers belong to the Hutu and Tutsi tribes. They have a cooperative of young artists who have been carving wood figures under the direction of their elders. Selling the wood carvings is a way of helping young artists in the cooperative. The Saint Katharine Drexel Mission Gift Shop is able to purchase the wood carvings from the religious of the Assumption.
