Pope Francis Universal Intention:

Young People in Africa

That young people in Africa may have access to education and work in their own countries.

“Like a Father teaching His child to walk, our
Lord asks us to take tiny steps
.”

Twenty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Reading 1 IS 50:5-9A

The Lord GOD opens my ear that I may hear;

Gospel MK 8:27-35

He summoned the crowd with his disciples and said to them,”Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the gospel will save it.”

My children, our Love is not just to be words of mere talk,
but something real and active.

St. Katharine Drexel
