Social Justice

Rooted in the Eucharist

Service to the Poor

May we live in solidarity with those who are denied full human dignity, praying for justice, acting justly, and addressing the causes and effects of injustice.

Collect Prayer for the Feast Day Mass of Saint Joseph (March 19)

Grant, we pray, almighty God, that by Saint Joseph’s intercession your Church may constantly watch over the unfolding of the mysteries of human salvation, whose beginnings you entrusted to his faithful care. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Speak up, speak out.
If there’s one thing our system of self-government in the United States is strong at, it is urging our elected leaders to listen to what their constituents are saying. So say something! Call your congressman. Call your senators. You can even call the White House. Write a handwritten letter to your leaders. This actually carries more weight than just an email. Keep it simple, if you like. Just say, “Please do something about _________________________

“If I can say of an action ‘I did it out of love of God,’ there is something about it that will last through all eternity.”

Lent 2019: Recommit to Racial Justice
This year for Lent, we invite all NETWORK members and supporters to recommit to Racial Justice. We live in a society built on hundreds of years of oppressing People of Color in the United States. We are at a critical time for white people to do the work of racial justice, educating themselves and finding ways to act in solidarity with People of Color.
